Seven Habits of Lifelong Learners and Learning Contract: While viewing this slide show, I thought that my biggest challenge will be using technology to my advantage. If I were more familiar with technology, it would not only be useful when working with students and staff, but organizing my daily efforts. For example, I have just started a "book trailer" project with a student using iMovie. By mentoring him through this process, I will also become more proficient with this particular application. My challenges are time and having confidence with all this technology. As it states in the Learning Contract, I will need to make a plan to get around these obstacles. Hmmmm....
Time Plan: I recently aquired my librarian endorsement online. Because I had a teen and a toddler in the house, I worked nights on my classes. Again, I will use my evenings for this class.
Confidence Plan: Over and over again, I've learned to just jump in, make mistakes and learn! The hard part is jumping.

As a beader I have found that I learn a lot more by making a mistake, taking it out, figuring out where I went wrong than when I do it right the first time. But oh boy, do I hate to have to take it out.....
ReplyDeleteHave fun jumping in and let me know if I can be of help.
